HOW TO MAKE
Agate Coin Necklace
  1. Measure out two equal lengths of nylon-coated wire and pass both strands through an agate cushion, a sterling silver bicone, five turquoise glass discs and another bicone.
  2. Follow this with an agate cushion, a bicone, five dark blue discs and a bicone and repeat this pattern five times, alternating between turquoise and dark blue discs. After the last bicone, add an agate coin and mirror the beading pattern for the other side of the necklace.
  3. Thread two twisted rondelles and a crimp onto each end of the necklace. Pass the threads through the loop of a clasp and back down the crimp on each side. Tuck the tail ends through the beads closest to the clasp, and secure.
Agate Twists Necklace
  1. Measure out two equal lengths of nylon-coated wire and pass both through seven glass discs at the same time, in the following order: one peach, one amber, one indicolite, one clear, one turquoise, one dark blue and one green. Add a sterling silver bicone and repeat the same sequence twice.
  2. After the last bicone, thread on an agate flat twist and repeat the disc pattern once more. Repeat this sequence five times, finishing with a seventh flat agate twist.
  3. Thread on a bicone and finish the necklace by mirroring the disc beading pattern on the opposite side. Add two metal rounds and a crimp to each end. Pass the threads through the loop of a clasp and back down the crimp, tucking the tail ends through the beads closest to the clasp, and secure.
Multi-stranded Necklace
  1. Attach three equal lengths of nyloncoated wire to a clasp and secure with a crimp. Thread all three strands through six coffee pearls, an agate cushion and another coffee pearl. Split the threads and alternate amazonite chips with random Swarovski crystals for 5cm, adding one coffee pearl to each string at some point, so that they do not look identical.
  2. Bring the wires together again using a coffee pearl, split again and repeat the alternate threading of chips and crystals for another 5cm, again adding a coffee pearl to each string at random. Use a coffee pearl to join the strands and slip on an agate cushion and another pearl. Add a flat agate oval and mirror the stringing pattern on the other side of the necklace. After slipping on the last six coffee pearls, attach the other side of the clasp and secure with a crimp.
