HOW TO MAKE
Necklace
  1. Cut a 90cm section of chain and divide it into eight random lengths (the longest measuring no more than 20cm). Take two pieces (one shorter than the other) and join them together at an end with a 5mm jump ring. Attach a margarita daisy to one of these chains with another jump ring, so that it sits two links down from the first one that you added. Repeat to make four sets of joined chain in total.
  2. Make a bead dangle by threading a rice pearl onto a head pin and forming a wrapped loop in the end. Trim any excess wire and make 11 more in the same way. Add three of these pearl dangles to each set of chains at random intervals.
  3. Thread a calotte and a crimp onto one end of a 25cm length of nylon-coated wire. Position the crimp inside the calotte, add a dab of superglue and close the crimp with chain-nosed pliers to secure. Slip one shell bead, a gold coin and one section of decorated chain onto the wire.
  4. Add another shell bead, a second section of chain, a gold coin, another chain, a shell coin, a third chain, a gold coin and a shell coin to finish the string. Secure with a crimp and calotte as before and trim any excess wire. Add a 5mm jump ring and a margarita daisy to each calotte.
  5. Cut two 16cm pieces of chain and attach them to the margarita daisies at either side of the necklace with 5mm jump rings. Slip another 5mm jump ring onto the end of each length of chain.
  6. To create a chain extender, cut a 7cm length of chain and make a pearl dangle as before. Attach the dangle to a 5mm jump ring and hook this onto one end of the chain. Add a 5mm jump ring to the other side and slip this onto one end of the necklace. Attach a trigger clasp to the other end with a jump ring to finish.
